After installing Streamlabs recently over the usual OBS, I started fidgeting with some loyalty points it has available to be used and set up. Figured that instead of just sending tips that come 7 days after a stream through
@commentrewarder I may also try and reward people watching with Hive in different ways, at the same time this may also entice viewers to create a hive account if they happen to stick to my stream and want to claim their points eventually, they'd need to create a hive account which we can easily set them up with!
Introducing Hivebits!
These are just simple points, they're generated based on people watching the stream at a rate of 1 point every 5 minutes.

There may be some caveats to them, such as you have to chat a little here and there to earn points, it doesn't give me a lot of info and probably for the best not to make that completely public as to entice abuse and farms.
With the way things stand at this point, I was thinking that whenever someone claims 100 points they'd get a 10 Hive reward. Then to avoid people claiming every 100 points we may do something like if you wait to claim until you have 1000 points you may get 110 hive instead of just 100.
Some gamification never hurt!
We may also adjust the rewards over time based on the price of hive, etc, but give people a warning in time so they can claim if they want.
When claiming it'll give an alert and soundbite on the stream as well which is kind of fun! I don't even remember the sound I added for it to do but let's get surprised/scared the first time it happens I suppose!
How can you participate?
Simply coming to the stream when I'm live and chatting a little here and there and watching the stream grants you points. You can check your point count at any time by using the command "!points" in the chat or "!top" to see the top point holders as shown in the screenshot above.
As things stand right now, every 100 points will let you claim 10 hive!
There's also other ways to earn hivebits!
By subscribing to the channel you get 10 hivebits instantly.
Then later when the channel is monetized, you can get 100 hivebits by becoming a member of the channel (I think it costs $2/month), sending a supermessage (a donation followed with a message) gets you 50 hivebis, etc.
