SurpriseIt's not every day you turn 12.I wanted to do something special for his birthday. He's sports mad, a bit like his old man! He's also started to get into golf and had a little set of golf clubs, but he's outgrown them recently, so we got him a new set of clubs. Nothing to flashy, as he'll grow out of them again in the next couple of years.

Galway Golf Course FindI'm always on the look out for mushrooms for a Fungi Friday post. Usually it's my local golf course that delivers as I'vetold ye before. There's a section of forestry to left of the 8th hole where I often go to look for a few golf balls as it's always easy to find ten or fifteen balls in 5 or 10 minutes if I'm just out practicing, but that's not where I discovered these mushrooms, although it was on a golf course. It just wasn't my golf course.
